Annika Andersson is a Swedish artist, based in the southern part of Sweden.
She mostly paints with oil on linen and strives to express both harmony and turbulence of the human mind. She finds inspiration from 16th century paintings, although her paintings often have a components that are contemporary  - which gives the paintings a modern touch.
"I use bodies that drag, stretch, twist and jump to symbolize the way the human being is pushing the boundaries for what is possible."
Except from painting with brush, she also likes to experiment with rollers, sponges and even her hands. She does this to create life and movement in the pictures.
